The Laramie River & Platte River's water levels are now down to about normal. All the lakes in the area have gotten a lot of water and are now full including Lake Hattie, Twin Buttes, Seminoe, Greyrocks and Glendo to name a few.
   

Laramie Plains Lakes

 

 

Lake Hattie:  Fishing is Slow.LAKE HATTIE IS NOW FULL!!!!!!!!!

 (Most fish caught are over 20".)

Lures to use:  Rapalas ( Rainbow Trout, Brown Trout), Panther Martins (gold, silver),Blue Fox Vibrax, Kastmasters, Little Cleo and Thomas Lures.

Bait:  Power Bait (rainbow), Egg Sacs, and Night Crawlers.

Flies: Wooly Buggers (black and olive), Midges, Damsels, Scuds (orange, pink or olive), Hot Head Leeches, San Juan Worms, Pheasant Tails, Prince Nymphs, Elk Hair Caddis, Hornbergs and Renegades.


Meeboer: Fishing is slow.  Meebor winter killed this winter but has been restocked.

Lures to use: Mepps, Panther Martins (gold, or silver), Krocodiles, Little Cleo, Thomas Lures and Blue Fox Spinners.

Bait: Night Crawlers and Power Bait (rainbow)

Flies: Wooly Buggers (black and olive), Midges, Scuds (orange, pink or olive), Pheasant Tails, Prince Nymphs, Damsels, Hornbergs Elk Hair Caddis, Goddard Caddis and Renegades.


Twin Buttes: Fishing is poor. (Due to high alkali levels Wyoming Game and Fish did not stock the lake this spring.)The lake is getting water from Lake Hattie.

Use same setup as Meeboer.


Gelatt:  Fishing is  Fair.

 Use same setup as Meeboer. Wooly Buggers, Pink Scuds, & egg patterns


Leazenby: Fishing is Good.

Sodergreen: Fishing is Fair to Good.

"The creel limit on trout shall be two(2) per day or in possession. All trout less than sixteen (16) inches shall be released to the water immediately.
Fishing is permitted by the use of artificial flies and lures only."

Northern Colorado/ Walden Area

Walden Area Lakes:  Lakes were fishing Very Good. 

Lures to use:  Rapalas (rainbow trout, silver, or gold), Panther Martins (gold, or silver) Krocidiles, Thomas Lures and Mepps Spinners.

Flies: Wooly Buggers (black and olive), Chironomids, Damsels, Midges, Pheasant Tails, Princes, Scuds, Olive Hares Ear and Calibaetis.

Hohnholz: Lakes are fishing fair to Good.

   

Alpine Lakes

Lake Owen: Fishing is fair to good.

Lures to use:  Thomas Lures, Krocodiles, Daredevils, Panther Martins and Mepps.

Bait: Night Crawlers, Power Bait (rainbow), eggs.

Flies: Wooly Buggers (black, brown or olive), Midges, Renegades, Lightning Bugs, Copper Johns, Zug Bugs, Hornbergs, Caddis Patterns and small dry flies.


Rob Roy Res: Fishing is good to great.


Snowy Range Lakes: Fishing is good.

Lures to use:  Little Cleos, Mepps, Panther Martins (gold, or silver), Krocodiles and Daredevils.

Bait: Night Crawlers, Power Bait (rainbow), Eggs.

Flies: Wooly Buggers (black, olive or brown), Wooly Worms (black, brown, yellow or olive), San Juan Worms, Copper Johns, Pheasant Tails, Princes, Midges, and Lighting Bugs.

Laramie Area Rivers

Little Laramie: Fishing is Fair.

Lures to use: Thomas (gold or silver), Panther Martins (Brown Trout or Rainbow Trout), Mepps and Rapalas (brown or rainbow).

Bait: Night Crawlers and Egg Sacs.

Flies: Wooly Buggers (black or olive),  Hot Head leeches, San Juan Worms (red), Bead Head Flashback Pheasant Tails, Copper Johns (red), Lighting Bugs, Midges (red or black), Caddis patterns, Hornbergs and Princes.


Big Laramie:  Fishing is Fair.

Use same set-up as Little Laramie.

   

Curt Gowdy and Pole Mountain

North. Crow Res: Fishing is Fair to Good.

They now charge a Four Dollar fee per vehicle to park at the reservoir. 

Lures to use:  Rapalas (brown trout, silver, or gold), Panther Martins (gold, or silver), Rooster Tails and Thomas Lures.

Bait: Night crawlers, Power Bait, and Eggs.

Flies: Bead Head Wooly Buggers (olive and black), Streamers, Copper Johns (copper or red), Princes, Pheasant Tails, Caddis Patterns, Hornbergs and small dries.


Granite Res: Fishing is Good.

Use same set up as North Crow Res.


Crystal Res: Fishing is Good.

Use same set up as North Crow Res.


Beaver Ponds on Pole Mountain: Fishing is good to great.

Use same set up as North Crow Res.

   

Wheatland Res #3

Wheatland Res #3: Water level is up from the last few years significantly. The lake was stocked in summer of 2009 with all sub-catchable trout. Lake is full.

Carp fishing is good.

Flies: Wooly Buggers, Cray Fish, Leech Patterns, Princes, San Juan Worms and Egg Patterns.

Toltec

Fishing is Good. 

Lures to use: Rapalas (brown trout, silver, or gold), Panther Martins (gold, or silver), Super Duper.

Bait: Eggs, Night Crawlers, Power Bait (orange, rainbow).

Flies: Wooly Buggers (Black and Olive), Midges,  San Juan Worms, Pheasant Tails, Princes and Caddis.

East Allen

Fishing is Slow.

Use the same set up as Toltec.

Saratoga Lake

Fishing is Good.

Use the same set up as Toltec.

   

North Platte River

Gray Reef:  Fishing is Fair to Good.

Flies:  Wooly Buggers and BMB's (olive or pond olive), Nilla Buggers, San Juan Worms (orange or red), Red Rock Worms, Scuds (orange, tan or olive), Rusty Scuds, Midges (red or green), Pheasant Tail, Blood Worms, Prince, Stimulators, Caddis patterns, Stoneflies and Rubber Legged Hares Ear.

Lures: Mepps and Panther Martins (gold or silver), Krocodiles, Blue Fox Vibrax, Rapalas and Thomas Lures.

Lures: Mepps and Panther Martins (gold or silver), Krocodiles, Blue Fox Vibrax, and Thomas Lures.

Encampment River

Fishing is Fair.
