Spring is finally here! The temperatures have been reaching the 50's and even the 60's. For the most part fishing has been productive on the Plains Lakes and the Laramie River. Lake Gelatt has been reported as a Winter Kill, but has been restocked, so it should turn around quick. |

LARAMIE Plains LAKES Current Hatches: Midges and BWO's

Lake Hattie: Fishing is Good. Lures to use: Rapalas (shad rap, rainbow trout, Brown Trout), Panther Martins (gold, silver), Mepps. Bait: Power Bait (rainbow), Eggs, Egg Sacs, and Night Crawlers Flies: Wooly Buggers (Black and Olive), Midges, Olive scuds, Hot head leeches, San Juan Worms, Pheasant tails. Meeboer: Fishing is Fair to Good.Lures to use: Rapalas , Panther Martins (gold, or silver), Krocodiles and Daredevils. Bait: Night crawlers, Power Bait (rainbow), and salmon eggs. Flies: Scuds (olive), Wooly Buggers (Black, Olive and Purple), Hot head leeches Midges, Princes, San Juan Worms, Pheasant tails. Twin Buttes: Fishing is Fair. Boat ramp is out of the water. Lake Owen: Fishing is good. Unsure of ice conditions, please use caution. Lures to use: Rapalas , Panther Martins (gold, or silver), Krocodiles and Daredevils. Bait: Night crawlers, Power Bait (rainbow), eggs. Flies: Wooly Buggers (Black and Olive), Midges, San Juan Worms, lighting bugs, zug bugs, scuds (olive, tan), princes, Pheasant tails, renegades, Royal Wulfs, Ants, and Adams. Rob Roy Res: Fishing is Fair to Good! Use same set-up as Lake Owen Snowy Range Lakes: Lakes are fishing Good! Should be frozen, always check ice conditions before venturing on the ice. Lures to use: Little Cleos, Mepps, Panther Martins (gold, or silver), Krocodiles and Daredevils. Bait: Night crawlers, Power Bait (rainbow), eggs. Flies: Wooly Buggers (Black and Brown), San Juan Worms, Pheasant tails, princes, lighting bugs, midges, elk hair caddis, renegades, lighting bugs, wooly worms, ants, royal wulff, adams, and coachmen.

Gray Reef: Fishing is Good. Flows are 500 CFS. Water is 40 degrees and slightly cloudy to cloudy but can change with rain and snow. For the most recent flows on the Reef CLICK HERE.
Flies: Wooly Buggers and BMB's (Brown, Black)#8-12, Nilla Buggers, San Juan Worms (orange or red) #12, Red rock worms, Molting amber scuds, rusty scuds, PMD split foam back, bionic midges and flash midges, Pheasant tail, and prince.Lures: Mepps and Panther martins (gold or silver), krocodiles, swedish pimples, and cyclones. Miracle Mile: Fishing is Good. Flows are around 500 CFS but fluctuate daily, water temps are mid to mid 40's. For the most recent flow on the Miracle Mile CLICK HERE.
