LARAMIE Plains LAKES |
Ice conditions depend on the lake and location. Open spots on most of the Laramie Plains lakes, be careful if you are on the ice. Lake Hattie: Fishing is Fair-Good.Lures to use: Your favorite jigs in white, pink and root beer colors. Panther Martins (gold, brown trout, or silver), Krocodiles, Kastmasters and Daredevils. Bait: Night crawlers, Power Bait, Eggs, Mealworms. Meeboer: Fishing is Fair-Good.Lures to use: same as Hattie. Bait: same as Hattie. Twin Buttes: Fishing is Fair-Good. Lures to use: same as Hattie. Bait: same as Hattie. Gelatt: Fishing is Fair.Lures to use: same as Hattie. Bait: same as Hattie. Leazenby: Fishing is Fair. Lures to use: same as Hattie. Bait: same as Hattie. North Platte River |
Gray Reef: Fishing is Fair-Good. Water is in winter fishing conditions with temps in the high 30s to low 40s and flows around 500 cfs. Currently the reef is ice free. Best flies to use are Scuds, Midges, Wooly Buggers (nilla, olive, and Black), Halfbacks and BMB's in pond olive and blood color. Leeches, San Juan Worms, Pheasant Tails, Soft Hackle patterns, Copper Johns. Miracle Mile: Fishing is Fair-Good.Water is clear with temperatures in the upper 30s to low 40s and flows around 700 cfs. Icy conditions with some open spots. Flies working best are Scuds, Midges, Streamers, Leeches, Princes, Pheasant Tails, Egg patterns, San Juan Worms, Wooly Buggers (nilla, black and brown), BMB's (black and red). |
