Miracle Mile

Description

The Miracle Mile is a section of the North Platte River that runs from Kortes Dam to Pathfinder Reservoir.  The mile is one of the many blue ribbon access points on the North Platte, and sports many zealous fish in a small section of water making for a very enjoyable fishing expedition.  Since this section is full of fish, many anglers from all over flock to here to get a chance to fish this immaculate fishery.

The fishing is Fair to Good right now.  Still some streamer action but getting into the winter season. Current Flow Rate: 540 cfs Best Flies: Pegged Eggs (Apricot, Green, or White), Purple Rock Worms, Pat's Rubber Legs Best Lures: Rainbow and Brown Trout Spoons Best Baits: Orange or White Powerbait

Miracle Mile 6/7/2021

The fishing is Fair to Good, the water is high and can be hard to get flies down to the fish. Have to run an 8-9 ft leader and 2-3 AB weights to get flies down and slowed down for fish.   Flow rate: 2590-2600 cfs Current Flow Rate Water clarity: Clear Best flies: Midge and Baetis Patterns (BWO, PMD, Black, Purple), Stone flies, San Juan and Rock Worms, White Sucker Eggs, Hare's Ear, Prince, Pheasant Tail Best lures: Gold, Copper and Silver Colors
